Many times when faced with the prospects of saving our most historic places  individuals can show enormous support that can sway opinion.  Quite simply, if you care, then chances are many will care and action will be taken.

Take a moment to consider sending an email in support of saving these buildings. Email the local Board of Selectmen and the Canton Planning Board.  You may also write a letter to these decision making boards at: Memorial Hall, Canton, MA 02021.

You can also show your support by sending a letter to the editor of the local and regional newspapers.  Many editors accept letters via email.  Consider emailing your letter to the Canton Citizen, the Canton Journal, The Patriot Ledger and the South Regional Section of the Boston Globe

Also, if you are a Canton Resident, you will get an opportunity to decide on the fate of this property at Annual Town Meeting. Watch this space in the Spring of 2008 for updates.

Annual Town Meeting starts on April 28, 2008 at 7:30 PM at the Canton High School.  This year the fate of the property will be decided by the attendees. It is likely that at least two Zoning Articles will be presented. Whatever Article passes the town must make it clear that saving these buildings and providing an archaeological resource recovery at the Paul Revere House is an element of the new Zoning.
